ART DUBAI 2021

Art Dubai will move to the iconic Gate Building at the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) for the 2021 event in a purpose-built location with the adjusted event dates: March 29 – April 3, 2021.

Art Salon is a unique philanthropic program that engages collectors and enthusiasts from the UAE in a year-round, dynamic range of exclusive art events. The Art Salon offers its members exclusive access and benefits aimed at constructive exposure to the rich cultural heritage and contemporary art practices from the MENASA region, as well as an international calendar of events in the art world.
Events are held on a monthly basis and include exclusive expert-led access to exhibitions and art projects in museums, galleries and biennials at home and abroad; exhibitions and performances by key regional and international figures of art, architecture and design; visits to artists’ workshops and private collections, as well as public dinners and events offering the opportunity to meet and mingle with other like-minded people from the region.

The fair will take place in an adapted format with 50 galleries from 31 countries showcasing a diverse selection of art, artists and practices that reflect the city’s multicultural identity. The latest portrait exhibition of this season, Art Dubai, features works by Abdul Rahman Katanani, in which he explores the themes of hope, homeland, resilience and displacement, considering future opportunities for different realities. Katanani, who until recently lived in the Sabra refugee camp, addresses the realities of the daily life of refugees in multimedia works. Due to the capacity restrictions of our new venue, for first-time guests wishing to attend the days of the upcoming fair by invitation only.
