Yesterday, Sunday 20th September in the south of France I attended the first security conference dedicated to French Close Protection or “Protection Rapprochée”.
It was organised by Paul-henri virgal, director of a security training agency in Cannes called ASP Bodyguard. It was a full day with presentations from people in the industry, security agencies, and plenty of chances for networking.
The FFPR (Fédération Française de la Protection Rapprochée) the equivalent of the British Bodyguard association attended and I was able to talk to the president Regis-Albert Blanchard about some very interesting projects they are planning in the near future (more to come soon).
Arthur Bury, CEO Globe Infinite Ltd, share companys vision on security & luxury service market for the coming years, as well as MyGlobe (International Platform for Professionals) project itself.
ASP Bodyguard showcased a new EDC survival tool called the Self Defender which is advertised as a “versatile, powerful, efficient, ambidextrous Survival Tool. Windows breaker, seatbelt cutter, and can be used as a tourniquet.”
