Description

For us, bringing life back to its walls, its patios, its porches,..., has been an adventure that is equally magical and hard, in which surprise has always accompanied us and from which details have come to light that now We guard it as a true treasure.
San Ricardo is a winery built in the mid-19th century on a 16th-century farmhouse, at the intersection of the old Camino Real and the Cordel de Santiago, which currently corresponds to the Andalusian Highway between the towns of Valdepeñas and Manzanares, in the province of Ciudad Real and within an environment with a multitude of natural and cultural resources. Almagro, Villanueva de los Infantes, the Viso del Marqués palace, Santuario de las Virtudes, Consuegra, Tablas de Daimiel National Park, Despeñaperros Natural Parks and Lagunas de Ruidera,..., are just some of the essential enclaves that deserve a visit and that you can complement with our experiences.
In it you can find products made with great care and wisdom.
Ceramics, oil, wood, leather, wine, iron, are some of the materials of our products that you can purchase in our physical store.
Bodegas San Ricardo has selected old vines, unrelated to fashions and new times and that follow the biological cycles of nature.
Without artifice or overload in the pregnancy of their fruit, they feed only on the water that the sky gives and what the earth gives.
Strains arranged in small areas of land and that have been collected by hand for decades.
Bodegas San Ricardo will also open its doors to enjoy its impressive history, that of a La Mancha farmhouse, which dates back to the 16th century, and which fell asleep in time in the eighties. During the restoration work we have taken into account traditional techniques and the original elements have been respected so as not to lose their character and identity.
The winery, a jewel of Spanish industrial architecture, preserves its original workmanship intact, recesses, floors, vaults and its 100 clay jars demonstrate the magnitude of this work. His wines were exported to half the world and contributed to the expansion and recognition of Valdepeñas wines.
Walk through its naves, patios, porches, look into its wine cellars and be able to contemplate the patterns of beams and scissors on its ceilings, close your eyes and smell the must, listen to the crackling of a fire in its houses or be able to read the stories that are here. happened, from breaking in a mule to praying to avoid stone clouds that would ruin the harvest.
The visit to San Ricardo is an experience that undoubtedly depicts the communion that existed between man and the environment throughout the centuries.
