Description
Bouillabaisse, the star of Marseille cuisine, has long turned from a simple fisherman's meal into a signature dish of expensive restaurants. At Chez Fonfon, Marseille fish soup is offered at an affordable price, and prepared and served the way it should be: from several varieties of fish, with Provence herbs, with crispy croutons and garlic sauce.
Fish baked in clay is no less tasty. The simple way of cooking allows you to maximize the taste of fresh fish, which is so delicious that it does not need any complex sauces, just a couple of drops of olive oil are enough.
The opinion of the MICHELIN Guide.
Freshness: the key word of this family institution founded in 1952 by Alphonse, known as “Fonfon”. Bourride and bouillabaisse are the constants on the menu, made with fish straight out of the wooden "points" that we see opposite in the small port. The address is indeed nestled in the beautiful Auffes valley...
