An emblematic monument of the Place de la Concorde, the Hôtel de la Marine is a superb architectural ensemble created in the 18th century by Ange-Jacques Gabriel, the king's first architect. It housed the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne until 1798, before becoming the seat of the naval ministry for over two hundred years.
