On the Port of Saint-Tropez, between the azure blue of the sky, the orange houses, facing the sea and its silver reflections, the Girelier has been transmitting for more than 50 years the soft atmosphere of the Mediterranean.
At Le Girelier, the cuisine of the sea sings with a southern accent, orchestrated with rigour and talent by a Vosges-Alsatian duo: David Didelot Laurent Simon, who consistently compose a careful menu, prepared with choice products, respecting the original flavours.
Fish, shellfish and crustaceans are prepared in all their forms: in ultra-fresh seafood platters, raw, in the form of carpaccio, but also lobster, sole, turbot and lobster, all expertly gilded.
Caviar lovers, whether novices or experienced, will find the iodized and frank flavours, all in delicacy of a sharp selection of Beluga and Golden Imperial.
The Girelier bouillabaisse is served here with noble fish (bass, Saint-Pierre, sea bream), accompanied by a saffron soup and fine rouille.
Speciality of paella with seafood.
On the land side, the meat is just as delicious with exceptional products: Black Angus beef rib, Label Rouge farm chicken...
The wine list, revealing an anthology of beautiful wines, is elaborated to the letter by Aimé Stoesser, the charismatic owner of the place. A diversity which will delight all palates: at a reasonable price, like the Domaine Sainte-Marie in direct pressing rosé produced in Bormes-les-Mimosas; and the great houses: Domaine la Rouillère, as well as Château Minuty which are among the unavoidable references of the Gulf.
An authentic place of relaxation, colour, sun, inspiration and artistic life, the Girelier offers ideal variations of light according to the time of day and the seasons. The décor, in sandy and white tones, evokes the back of a boat where you can be rocked by the lapping of the waves. A beachside atmosphere, where the proximity of the sea favours escape, facing the ballet of the lively Port, which changes according to the seasons and the highlights of the village.
