Description
Nōema is a contemporary Greek restaurant & bar. A home to celebrate the free spirit of the Cyclades. Finding plenty in the humble bounty of raw, sun-baked landscapes. Finding purpose in preserving and sharing nature’s gifts. Finding happiness in feasting and dancing with friends, lovers and strangers. Savouring the intensity of every ingredient, every moment. In the Cycladic lexicon, Nōema is the meaning of life.
All dishes are meant to be shared, taverna-style — an array of complementary flavours and contrasting textures that honour the freshness of the ingredients.
From delicate raw meze (such as Dry-aged red snapper carpaccio with shaved fennel and lemon oil) to feasting platters (a rack of slow-roast pork chops with a cinnamon-anise crust or a whole lamb shoulder smoked with vine leaves), the menu riffs on whatever the locals have caught and harvested each day.
A space for spontaneous gatherings and ritual festivities, Nōema embodies the open-hearted soul of Mykonos, where every occasion is an opportunity for a feast. Featuring its own bar and floor to ceiling doors which open onto the Avlí, the indoor Saloon is the ultimate space for an intimate gathering that blends with the ambience of the restaurant as the night progresses.
Our fluid space that can shape-shift as the mood strikes and the night unfolds. Evenings evolve organically, from energising elixirs and grazing dishes to live bands and intimate DJ sets. The open kitchen, outdoor bar, and saloon radiate from the courtyard, creating a seamless transition between loosely defined areas for eating, drinking and dancing.
The bare bones of Greek summer liberate the imagination and nourish the soul. Nōema is an expression of the Cycladic way of living. A culture of natural warmth and simple pleasures, of deep-rooted traditions as elemental as the wind and sun, the rocks and sea. A place where life moves with the rhythm of nature and being together is what really matters.
