Description
Le Chantecler, our Michelin-starred restaurant, seeks new approaches to haute cuisine, giving it lightness and sincerity. Here you will be offered talented dishes that pay homage to regional products. Table service is also well known. It is unobtrusive, but can turn into a real performance when the dish is flambéed or cut right in the hall in accordance with the good traditions of good restaurants. Le Chantecler Restaurant, with its 18th century decoration and magnificent 1751 wall panels, is an elegant and luxurious setting for exceptional dining.
A new spirit, a new entrance, a renewed all-season décor: the floral art of Herve Fresal, also the Best Master of France, flourishes among the works of the 18th century, the porcelain dishes are made by Elisabeth Monroy and Sylvie Lorne, and the new atmosphere created by the lighting designers is current and full of softness.
The last important innovation: now the entrance to the restaurant is located from the side of the Promenade des Anglais, and you have to go through a completely renovated large landscape terrace. Sit back on the couch with a cocktail in hand and let the fresh breeze blow over the Negresco carry you away.
Tradition and modernity are perfectly combined here to make your evening an exceptional and memorable moment. We can't wait to meet you again and experience the birth of the new Le Chantecler restaurant with you.
MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View.
* One Star: High quality cooking.
On the Promenade des Anglais, Le Negresco, which celebrates its 110th anniversary in 2023, sits majestically in its seafront location. Le Chantecler, its fine dining restaurant, has "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" 2015 Virginie Basselot at the helm. In this exceptional setting, the Normandy-born chef doesn't beat around the bush, training her laser-like focus on serving up creative contemporary cuisine in the form of two set menus (without options, except for the dessert course) and an à la carte menu made from top-notch ingredients. Simplicity wins the day: cf. the poultry, white cabbage, kumquat and pistachio, or the subtle use of olive oil in the sweet dishes.
